The genuine VW Discover Media PQ head unit combines built in navigation with multimedia entertainment in an easy to use touch screen unit.

The unit features a 6.33" touchscreen display with proximity sensors that hide the function buttons when not in use and displays them with you move closer to the screen.

The navigation function comes complete with the latest European maps, full UK 7 digit postcode searching, TMC alerts, Points Of Interest, speed limit display, 3 choices of route options and Dynamic routing as standard.

Sat nav maps can be upgraded yourself for free, simply create an account on the VW website, download the required map to your PC and upload to the supplied SD card.

The system offers Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming (A2DP) of tracks wirelessly (MICROPHONE REQUIRED, SOLD SEPARATELY)

With a built-in DAB+/FM/AM tuner, MP3 CD drive, SD card reader and (OPTIONAL) USB/AUX port, you have plenty of options for entertainment on those long trips.

Voice Control allows easy hands-free use of the system (MICROPHONE REQUIRED, SOLD SEPARATELY)

App-Connect allows you to connect your phone to Apple Car-Play, Android Auto, and Mirror-Link with the (OPTIONAL) USB connection. Once connected, the screen will resemble your phone's screen making it safe and easy to use.

This unit has had Component Protection removed so it will fit in your vehicle without security issues.  It has also had the SD card lock removed, if you wish to download the larger European maps to a higher capacity generic SD card this is now possible.

Please note: if fitting to a pre 2015 vehicle, you will need a conversion adaptor as the plugs are different.  We sell these separately if needed.
